Alvin Moore, Sr. (born April 23, 1970) served as Vice Mayor of Eatonville, Florida from March 2003 to November 2012. He is currently a Businessman/Broker Owner of MoreHouse Realty located in Winter Park, Florida.[1]
Early life[edit]
Moore was born on April 23, 1970. He attended Winter Park High School. He later graduated and attended to Howard University located in Washington, DC from 1988-1992; where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration & Management, Community Affairs. From 1996-1998, he also attended University of Central Florida College of Business Administration located in Orlando, Florida as well. He earned a Masters of Business Administration Degree that year. He worked in various roles as a branch manager in AmSouth Bank Orlando, Florida from 2000-2001, assistant vice president in SunTrust Mortgage Orlando, Florida from 2001-2002, commercial mortgage underwriter in Chase Bank Orlando, Florida, & currently is working as a businessman/broker owner in MoreHouse Realty Winter Park, Florida from 2003–present.[2]
Political career[edit]
In March 2008, Alvin decided for run for the council seat 5 in Eatonville, Florida. He later won in that year. He was able to serve his community as vice mayor on the council from March 2003 to November 2012.[3] He's championed a senior-citizen tax exemption and home renovations for the elderly. And he, too, backed revising the town's confusing charter.[4] Moore won another three-year term in 2011 when no one qualified to oppose him. During his term in office,[5] [6][7] Moore decided to run for Orange County Commission District 2 in 2014 as a Democratic candidate against his Republican Bryan Nelson, at the time a state representative. It was to replace the incumbent commissioner Frank Brunner.[8] He was later defeat in the general election by Nelson.[9]

He currently lives in Lake Forest, Florida with his wife Syreeta & his 2 children.
