Amal Umar
Amal Umar (born 21 October 1998) in Katsina State, Nigeria is a Nigerian upcoming actress in the Hausa movie industry, Kannywood.[1] She also featured in a Nollywood English TV series Shuga Naija along with other Hausa stars Rahama Sadau and Yakubu Muhammed.[2]
Early Life and Education[edit]
Amal was born on 21 October 1998 in Katsina, Nigeria. She attended her primary and secondary education in Katsina and later moved to Kano for her post secondary studies at Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano.[3]
Career[edit]
Amal Umar started her acting career in 2015, when she joined the Hausa Movie Industry known as Kannywood.[4] But before appearing in a movie, she first performed in song videos with singers like Umar M Sherrod, Garzali Miko and others.[5] Her first debut was in a Hausa movie "Itikam" and since then she began to earn reputation across the Hausa community.[4] Her career began to shine after her debut in the Nollywood youth series MTV Shuga.
