Tijjani Aliyu is a Nigerian Banker, who at present is an Executive Director, Risk Management working with Keystone Bank.[1] Aliyu has a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Bayero University, Kano; Nigeria and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Bangor Business School in the United Kingdom as well as a Doctorate Degree in Finance and Corporate Governance from European American University.[2] He has more than three decades of experience in finance and regulation, including time spent at both regulatory bodies and top financial institutions in Nigeria. Apart from courses he has attended within and outside Nigeria, from institutions like the INSEAD Business School and United States Federal Reserve Bank, Washington; He is a member of different professional bodies.

Tijjani Aliyu attended Okene Secondary school before graduating from Bayero University, Kano with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics. He then went further for a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Bangor Business School in the United Kingdom.[3]
Career[edit]
He began his banking career Financial Analyst Assistant at Manny Bank after graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Bayero University, Kano in the mid-1980s.[4] From where he left to work as a banking supervisor at the Central Bank of Nigeria . He then held various positions at Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation and Access Bank before going to Bank PHB in 2017. After Bank PHB transitioned to Keystone Bank, he was appointed as an Executive Director of Risk Management.[5][6] Aliyu is known for his successful management of risky situations and his ability to increase profits despite high-risk environments. He is an adept risk professional and a member of the Risk Managers Association of Nigeria (RIMAN). He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and also in Wales; and he has an associate status with the Senior Membership grade in RIMAN. Additionally, he has been granted Fellowship standing by ICA - The Institute for Credit Administration. Tijjani Aliyu is a risk management expert with over 30 years of experience in the Nigerian financial services industry. His experience in the financial sector covers banking supervision, finance, operations, mergers and acquisitions, treasury, and risk management.

He is the founder of the Dr. Tijjani Aliyu Foundation, which provides educational opportunities to underprivileged children.[7] Aliyu is a highly respected professional and philanthropist who has made a positive impact in his field.
