American Male is a chain of day spas franchised by the Raylon Corporation.[1] American Male is unique in the fact that they market specifically to male clients. Tapping such an unusual niche market has garnered the company a fair amount of media attention.[2][3][4]

The first location was opened in 1997, and as of May 2009, American Male has 12 locations in California, Illinois, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.[1] The company's headquarters is located in Reading, Pennsylvania. The CEO of the franchise Howard Hafetz, the president is Jessica Hammel, and the administrative coordinator is Angela Graham. The franchise is geared towards men and also boys.[5]
