Amil Ćorović (Serbian Cyrillic: Амил Ћоровић; (born June 20, 1994), better known as his YouTube channel name Amil YT, is a Swiss-Serbian-Montenegrin YouTuber, Entrepreneur, Internet Personality, Gamer, Entertainer and a live Streamer. Amil is known to be one of the first persons to drive a Tesla in Belgrade, Serbia.[1]
Personal life[edit]
Amil was born on June 20, 1994, in Fribourg, Switzerland. His father is from Bijelo Polje, Montenegro, and his mother is from Prijepolje, Serbia. Amil moved to Belgrade at the age of 18 in order to play tennis and get a scholarship for the MIT, which he failed. He finished his studies at the University of Worcester and graduated in Business Administration with Honours. Amil is passionate with Astronomy and Astrophysics and has the goal of becoming an astronaut before the end of his life. Amil started a few private businesses in the hope of succeeding to finance a trip to Space. After many failures, he decided to finally go public and started creating content on YouTube in February 2021. At the age of 8, Amil got his first camera and always wanted to create video-content. He is in an relationship with a famous Serbian Model known as Arnela Zeković.
Career[edit]
Amil started his first YouTube video in February, 2021 after seeing that everybody was asking him about his Tesla. He wanted to make a video to inform people about how it is to drive a Tesla in Belgrade. His first video made more than 300k views in less than a month with almost no subscribers.[2]
Amil was contacted by Dario Kesegi, co-founder of Stuberi, another famous YouTuber, to surprise his fiancée with his Tesla since it is her dream car. Dario contacted Amil through TikTok where he commented on one of his videos.[3]
Dario made a video about the surprise and promoted Amil's first video on YouTube.[4]
In March 2021, Amil was stopped by a police officer that "just wanted to check the Tesla", this video went viral with millions of views, even newspapers wrote about it.[5][6][7]
In Summer 2021, he helped raise awareness and money for Boško Gugleta, a baby from Novi Sad, Serbia, that is suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy. His method of collecting money was cheered by the whole country, he went on the main street of Belgrade, Knez Mihailova, mounted his telescope and showed the Moon to people in exchange of a SMS that supports Boško financially. This event was all over the news and live TV which helped raising awareness.[8][9][10][11][12][13]
Many famous YouTubers contacted Amil to create videos with him, since they were all amazed by the rapid success of his channel which got from scratch to almost 100k subscribers on YouTube in less than a year.[14]
Amil is Brand-Ambassador of the famous brand Xiaomi.
