Stephen Jody Works, also known by his YouTube handle SpringSims, is an American YouTuber and Twitch streamer. He is most well known for playing The Sims 4 and collaboration with EA on projects such as The Sims Spark'd and EA Game Changers.

In July 2020, Works announced on Twitter[1] he was featured in CNN Underscored best Society6 face mask[2] for their Black Lives Matter face mask.[3]

Works started making YouTube videos about The Sims in 2011.[4] As of March 2021, Works has over 29,000 subscribers.

On July 17 2020, EA announced their reality competition called The Sims Spark'd[5] on TBS network and Works was chosen to be one of the contestants as a Builder[6] on Team Freezer Bunny with XUrbanSimsx and DeeSims. Despite what happened in the first episode, Team Freezer Bunny lost and was eliminated in episode one.[7]

In February 2021, The Sims franchise turned 21. Works was featured on The Sims official Twitch channel for the celebration.[8]

In March 2021, The Sims announced their kits that featured mini collections to boost the playstyle of the individual player. There has been some controversy with them since the release Works talked by GamesRadar+ about the kits and how he felt about them.[9]

Twitch[edit]

Works has a Twitch channel with over 18,600 followers, and streams on a daily basis. In July 2020, Works was accepted into the Twitch Partner Program. In September 2020, Works was accepted into the StreamElements Creator Diversity Fund[10] among other creators in the gaming industry.[11]

In September 2020, Works collaborated with Hope for Haiti to organized a Back to School campaign for the Haitian community with a group of other Twitch Sims streamers. Towards the end of the month the team produced $11,200[12] through the platform Tiltify.

Personal life[edit]

Stephen Works began playing The Sims when he was 4 and became particularly interested in the game after The Sims 2 was released. Works have used the game to "escape" reality to play with life.

Works attended SWIC from 2014 to 2018 originally majoring in Music, however, switched to a digital media major in 2015. Then transferred to Webster University at the end of 2018. In May 2020 Works graduated with an undergraduate bachelor's degree in Interactive Digital Media.

Works live in a suburban area close to St. Louis, Missouri and has four older brothers.

Works launched his first podcast called Hello Spring in February 2021 that is available on all platforms wherever you listen to your podcasts.
