Amina Ado Kurawa is an engineer, an economist, and a philanthropist. She is the founder of Sana’a da Ilmi Foundation[1] and the current Director, Emerging and Special Tax Department,[2][3] at the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Nigeria. She is a Kano state indigene. In 2017, she was appointed, by President Muhammadu Buhari, as Senior Special Assistant to the President (SSAP) on oil and gas policy[4] in the office of the Chief of Staff to the President[5]. She is a non-career ambassador for Nigeria[6][7] She holds five master's degrees ranging from engineering to applied economics.[2]

Education

Amina is a graduate of electrical engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. She has an LLB from University of London, a Postgraduate Certificate in Data Science & Business Analytics from University of Texas at Austin, an MBA from Bayero University, Kano state, an MSc in Finance from Lancaster University, England. She has an MSc in Strategic Planning from Herriot Watt University, an MA in Development Studies from University of Sussex and an MSc in Applied Economics from the University of Bath. She is a fellow of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and an Associate of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. She is a member of Nigerian Society of Engineers and Society of Petroleum Engineers.[8]
