Aminu Musa Audu
Aminu Musa Audu[1][2][3] (20th November,1974) is a Nigerian sociologist and United Kingdom based consultant sociologist, criminologist and community policing expert.[4][5][6]
Early Life And Education[edit]
Aminu was born in 1974 at Idah Local government council, Kogi state Nigeria. He had his early education at Local Government Education Authority primary school Ugwoda Idah, and Idah secondary commercial college, Kogi state. He attended University of Ilorin where he graduated with Bachelor's Degree in sociology and hold Master's Degree in sociology from same university (2002-2006). He obtained his PhD Degree in sociology from University of Liverpool, United Kingdom (2011-2016).[7][8]
Later Life And Career[edit]
Musa is the Director/CEO Institute of Community policing (ICOPOL) Idah Kogi State, Nigeria.[4][9] He works as lecturer in prince Abubakar Audu University, Kogi State.[10]
His research interest focused on Community policing/police-Community relations,[11] critical criminology, ethnic minority and violence/terrorism, and sociology of the third world.[12] His current research project in United Kingdom is on comparative study of community policing: United Kingdom and Nigeria. He is member service director in British Sociological Association.[13][14]
He has twenty seven publications including conference presentations abstract in United Kingdom and Europe. He coordinated a discussion panel 'Community Policing and Threat of Global Terrorism' in the Liverpool, United Kingdom where presented his book: Police Corruption And Community Policing In Nigeria.[15][16]
He served as Governor of Smithdown Primary School Liverpool and Liverpool Women NHS foundation Trust (Hospital) representing the rest of England and Wales constituency.[17][18]
