Amir Atef (Arabic: أمير عاطف) is an Egyptian writer and novelist who was born in 1984. He has authored several novels, including Tari (Emergency), which was published in 2014. The rights to this novel were sold for a film adaptation. In 2016, the novel la shay' mimaa sabaq (None of the above) was released. The novel lugharitm was released in 2017. His novels were among the best-selling lists in bookstores and galleries inside and outside Egypt. [1][2] Atef is currently co-writing the script for a film. His articles have also been published in several magazines and newspapers.
Early life
Amir Atef was born in Cairo on October 1984. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Ain Shams University - Department of European Civilization. He studied Greek and Latin literature. He has several critical articles on the works of ancient Greek writers.
In 2005, he began writing his first collection of short stories. He wrote ten stories but did not complete them, then he started writing his first novel in 2006. He was influenced at that time by the works of literary and creative icons in the Arab world, such as Naguib Mahfouz. In 2010 he succeeded in writing his first long novel.

Contributions
Participated in a monthly cultural salon. He also contributed to writing an opinion column for a newspaper. In addition to his participation in many cultural events and book fairs, he is also currently contributing to a literary project dealing with the relationship between the manners of peoples in the first centuries.
