Amma Frimpomaa Dwumah, is a Ghanaian female lawyer and a member of the Ghana Bar Association who was nominated as the managing director of SIC Life Savings & Loans Company Limited (SICLife S &L) by President Nana Akufo-Addo[1][2] in 2017.She was voted the Most Respected CEO in the Non-bank Financial Institutions (Savings and Loans) at the second Ghana Industry CEO Awards held in the Accra International Conference Centre on 29 November 2019.[3]
Early life and education[edit]
Amma Dwumah started her career as a teacher at the OLA Girls Senior High School where she taught English and English Literature from September 2006 to August 2007. She was a trainer of trainers from 2005 to 2007 under a program of the Ghana National Association Teachers (GNAT)/Canadian Teachers Federation. She was also a Training and Development Assistant with Plan Ghana from 2003 to 2005 who trained teachers.[4]
She holds an MA in Human Resources from the University of Cape Coast, LLB from the University of Ghana, Legon, and a Bachelor in Education in English Language from the University of Education, Winneba. She graduated with a Qualifying Law Certificate from the Ghana School of Law and also trained as a teacher at the St. Louis Training College.[5]
Career[edit]
Before her appointment as the Managing Director, she was the Legal Officer of the Bank of Africa Ghana Limited from September 2015 to May, 2016.[6]
She is a patron of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Loyal Ladies,[7][8]
