Ohio Valley Wrestling (2013–present)[edit]
Perry made his professional wrestling debut on OVW War Is Necessary on May 11, 2013 where he teamed up with Robbie Walker to defeat Jonathan Ramser and Nick Dinsmore in a tag team match.[4] Perry is best known for his tenure with Ohio Valley Wrestling where he was the first ever grand slam champion.[5] He is a former OVW Heavyweight Champion,[6] Anarchy Champion,[7][8] OVW Television Champion[9][10][11][12][13][14] and Tag Team Champion with Adam Revolver as The Tag Buddies.[15][16][17][18] Perry worked for a long period of time teaming up with Billy Oceans (also known as Billy O) as Holy Water. He is also known for being part of The Void, a stable (also consisting of Chance Destiny, Crazzy Steve, Damion, Jacob Black, Houdini, Nigel Winters and Jade Dawson) which impersonated a group of christian school kids led by him in the period when he was going under the ring name Stu Perry.[19] He wrestled by several gimmicks such as "The Pastor of Disaster" and previously took part in The Congregation stable over which he turned on in 2015.[20] He is also known for working with other infamous personalities such as Marcus Anthony.[21]
Personal life[edit]
Perry began training as a professional wrestler in college after issues with health and fitness which determined him to drive his attention to different professional wrestling promotions such as Ohio Valley Wrestling.[22] Perry is openly gay. He first came out at the age of 15, but he restricted the news only to his family and close friends before later coming out publicly to the wrestling world in 2018.[23]
