Anthony Gunn, better known by his ring name Tony Gunn is an American professional wrestler currently working for the American professional wrestling promotion Ohio Valley Wrestling.[3]

Professional wrestling career[edit]

Independent Circuit (2007–present)[edit]

Gunn made sporadic appearances for the National Wrestling Alliance when the promotion hosted shows to promote Mountain State Wrestling in 2012. He worked under the name of The Masked Marauder being part of teams which feuded with Puppy Love (Bobby Brown and Buddy Love).[4] He wrestled for Renegade Wrestling alliance where he is a former RWA Regional Pennsylvania Champion, title which he won at RWA Uprising - 10th Anniversary Show on February 23, 2019 after defeating J-Rocc and Shane Andrews in a three-way match.[5]

Ohio Valley Wrestling (2011–present)[edit]

Gunn made his professional wrestling debut in the Mid-States Wrestling (MSW) promotion of Harrison, Arkansas in a losing effort to Kenny Campbell at a house show on March 31, 2007.[6] After a 4-year hiatus, he debuted in Ohio Valley Wrestling on OVW TV #611 of May 4, 2011 in a dark match, teaming up with Randy Terrez to defeat the team of Lennox Lightfoot and Mitch Johnson.[7] He won his first professional wrestling title, the OVW Television Championship on July 25, 2012 at OVW TV #675 after defeating Mohammad Ali Vaez who got attacked by Rob Terry by count-out.[8] He wrestled as a part of The Next Level stable in which he took part alongside Devin Driscoll and Mitch Huff.[9] Gunn defeated Big John and Justin Smooth to win the OVW Southern Tag Team Championship by teaming up with Driscoll at OVW TV #910 on January 25, 2017.[10] He won the OVW Heavyweight Championship for the first time from Abyss at OVW TV #1016 on January 30, 2019.[11]

On April 6, 2021, Gunn teamed with OVW National Heavyweight Champion Jessie Godderz defeating The Tate Twins to win the OVW Tag Team Championships.[12]

Impact Wrestling (2019–2020)[edit]

Gunn is also known for his brief tenure with Impact Wrestling by the time the promotion had several cross-overs with OVW. He debuted at Impact One Night Only on March 2, 2019 (aired March 9) where he successfully defended the OVW Heavyweight Championship against Sami Callihan.[13] He also made an appearance representing Border City Wrestling in another Impact crossover pay-per-view, BCW Motown Showdown on December 8, 2019 where he teamed up with King's Ransom (Leonis Khan and Maximus Khan) to defeat Clayton Gainz, Jackson Stone and Tyler Tirva in a six-man tag team match.[14] Gunn made his last appearance for Impact at Impact Wrestling/OVW Outbreak on February 21, 2020 in a losing effort to Trey Miguel.[15]
