Ancient Astronaut Creation Theory

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Ancient astronaut creation theory is a pseudo-scientific theory that asks the question "were we intelligently designed, by a higher being of extraterrestrial origin?"[1] Proponents of this theory believe that extraterrestrials manipulated the DNA of ancient hominids to create homosapiens.[1] The theory challenges Charles Darwin's Theory of natural selection, while using research and theorem developed by one of Darwin's contemporaries, Alfred Russel Wallace. The Ancient astronaut theory of creation ties together genetic research, biblical stories, petroglyphs, and ancient Sumerian accounts from cuneiform tablets to explain the creation of mankind. Ancient astronaut creation theorists argue, the gene protein FOXP2, which research shows to be linked with language,[2] is of extraterrestrial origin. The theory contends extraterrestrials are responsible for giving mankind the ability to use tools, manipulate fire, communicate, socially organize and interact symbolically with one another. The Ancient astronaut creation theory also argues the possibility that all life on Earth could be of extraterrestrial origin. Current proponents of this theory include Zecharia Sitchin, Erich von Däniken, Burak Eldem, Giorgio A. Tsoukalos, David Childress, William J. Birnes, Ian Tattersall, Craig Stanford, Phillip Coppens, George Noory, and Peter Fiebag.

Charles Darwin and Alfred Russel Wallace[edit]

According to Ancient astronaut theorist Craig Stanford, Charles Darwin's theory of evolution by natural selection is inaccurate because Darwin had no means to gain a clear understanding of the amount of time that had passed, from when early hominids began to walk upright, and when ancient humans began to use tools and develop language. “Darwin was wrong, because he couldn’t possibly have known the chronology in his day.” [1] Alfred Russel Wallace (1823–1913), a colleague of Darwin's, believed that an unseen creative spirit had interceded three times on planet earth. First, to create life from inorganic matter, second, to create consciousness within animals, and the third time was to give humans the mental abilities we have today.[1] Wallace argued that these jumps in evolution were not the product of natural selection, but were the result of a "creative intelligence" acting upon earth and manipulating nature.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many Ancient astronaut creation theorists believe, in accordance with Wallace's theories, this unseen creative intelligence, is of extraterrestrial origin.

Genetic research and brain evolution[edit]

In 2004, Researchers at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, at the University of Chicago, Illinois, conducted a study and found human genes that control the size and complexity of the brain have undergone rapid evolution in humans, and that mammals and other non-human primates had not evolved in this manner.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many Ancient astronaut creation theorists believe that this evolution is the result of both, natural selection as well as extraterrestrial beings manipulating the DNA of early hominids. Proponents of the ancient astronaut theory argue that these changes gave early humans the ability to think and behave symbolically, communicate, create tools, manipulate fire and socially organize. FOXP2[edit]

Ancient astronaut creation theorists believe that language is a gift from the gods.[1] Ancient astronaut theorists believe the gene protein FOXP2, which research shows to be responsible for language,[2] was grafted into human nucleotides by extraterrestrials. Proponents of the Ancient Astronaut creation theory contend that FOXP2 has no known origin and that it did not evolve naturally within the animal kingdom. Ancient astronaut theorists believe that the existence of FOXP2 is evidence that humans had been genetically manipulated by extraterrestrials.[1]

Argument of evidence from ancient religious texts and petroglyphs[edit]

The Garden of Eden was a real place in Africa, and Adam and Eve were the first homosapiens[edit]

Ancient astronaut theorists believe the biblical story of Adam and Eve was an intervention by extraterrestrial beings. Ancient astronaut creation theorists point to a study linking all humanity to one woman in Africa, Mitochondrial Eve, as reinforcement for this argument. Ancient astronaut theorists also believe that The Garden of Eden was not fictitious, but was a real place, in East Africa, where Adam and Eve lived, as the first evolved human beings. Evidence from Sumerian tablets[edit]

The ancient Sumerian myth called the 'Enuma Elish', inscribed on cuneiform tablets, and part of the Library of Ashurbanipal, says humankind was created to serve gods called the Annunaki. Ancient astronaut creation theorists believe that the Annunaki were giant aliens who came to earth to mine gold for their home planet. According to the Enuma Elish story, the Annunaki realized mining gold was taking a toll on their race, and then created the human race as slaves.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many Ancient astronaut theorists conclude that the story of Adam and Eve is a revised telling of Enuma Elish.[3]

The serpent and the Tree of Knowledge metaphor[edit]

Ancient astronaut creation theorists believe that the serpent and the forbidden tree of knowledge story from The Bible is a metaphor. They argue that Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit in order "to be godlike", and this was the first step in human evolution and the path toward science and "the ability to carry out genetic manipulations".[1] Ancient astronaut theorists argue further that the biblical tree of knowledge is a metaphor for the human DNA sequence.[4]

God and Satan were aliens who disagreed with one another[edit]

Proponents of Ancient astronaut creation theory state that God and Satan were actually aliens that disagreed on whether or not human beings should be allowed the information that is offered by the tree of knowledge. David Childress, a leading proponent of ancient astronaut creation theory, compares this story to the Greek tale of Prometheus, who gave mankind the knowledge of fire. Ancient astronaut creation theorists believe the biblical concept of Satan is based on a misunderstood visit by extraterrestrials. According to Giorgio A. Tsoukalos, Ancient astronaut creation theorists believe that "there might have been some type of a mutiny between good and bad, extraterrestrial factions, in the remote past and so the mutineers were cast out by the commander and became known as the evil fallen angles, which they never were."[1] According to Erich von Däniken, the descendants of extraterrestrials had children with hominids, and this was referred to in the bible as "Original Sin." Von Däniken believes that the great biblical flood myth is punishment after an extraterrestrial 'God' discovered that earthbound angels, known as Nephilim, were mating with ape-like early humans.[5]

Petroglyphs from around the world depict ancient civilizations made contact with star beings[edit]

Ancient astronaut theorists believe Hopi cave drawings found in the southwestern desert, link the origins of Hopi and Zuni tribes with Star People or Kachinas. They point to similar etchings found in caves across planet earth as evidence that extraterrestrials visited many different ancient civilizations. They state that the Hopi and Zuni drawings depict contact with "beings from space who are not gods, but brought knowledge from another planet". Ancient astronaut creation theorists point out a parallel between these and other petroglyphs found in Europe, Asia and Brazil.[6]
