Anderson Holt (born September 26, 2004) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a center back for New York Cosmos in the USL League One.
Career
Youth and amateur
Born in San Diego, California, Holt began his career in the academy of local club San Diego Surf SC. In 2019, he moved to Germany, to The TalentProjekt, a program that provides training and competitive opportunities for elite American players. Soon after he moved to Spain, playing with FC Málaga City. He returned to the United States joining Queensboro FC, helping the side to the 2022 USL Academy League Final. He also played for Queensboro FC II in the United Premier Soccer League, leading the developmental side to a Spring 2022 UPSL Northeast Division title.[1]
Professional
Union Omaha
On February 28, 2023, Holt signed an academy contract with USL League One side Union Omaha.[2] Holt made his professional debut on July 1, 2023, coming on as a stoppage time substitute for Joe Brito in a 1–0 victory over Central Valley Fuego FC. [3] He signed his first professional contract with the club, a multi-year deal, on September 13, 2023.[4] He ended his first season appearing in 6 matches as the club won the USL League One regular season title.
Holt made his first start for the club on May 2, 2024, helping Omaha to a 3–2 victory over Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC in a USL Cup match.[5] Holt ended the 2024 season appearing in 14 matches for Omaha, including a substitute appearance on November 17, 2024, in the USL League One Final against Spokane Velocity FC, a match Omaha won 3–0 to claim the league title.[6]
During the 2025 season, Holt began to feature more regularly for the club, he made 20 appearances, including 17 starts.[7]
New York Cosmos
On January 17, 2026, Holt joined USL League One side New York Cosmos on a transfer from Union Omaha.[8]
