Andrea McGinty
Andrea McGinty is an American dating expert and entrepreneur. She is the founder of It's Just Lunch, a global matchmaking service that currently operates 110 branches Worldwide.[1][2][3]
Biography[edit]
In her twenties, McGinty experienced a significant personal setback when her engagement ended shortly before her wedding. Her friends attempted to set her up on dates, which she noticed their matchmaking efforts were often random and poorly thought out.[3] In 1990, before the advent of online dating, she identified a gap in the market which led to the creation of "It’s Just Lunch" in 1991 in Chicago.[4] The venture expanded into a global matchmaking service, growing to over 110 locations within 12 years. As online dating gained popularity and reduced the stigma around dating services, she decided to sell the company.[1][2]
After selling It's Just Lunch to a private equity firm, McGinty founded 33000dates.com, a platform tailored to help individuals in their 30s to 60s navigate online dating through personalized coaching and strategic advice, positioning it as a modern alternative to traditional matchmaking services.[5][6][7]
