Victor Arredondo (born February 25, 1986) is an American entrepreneur, Marine Corps veteran, and growth strategist. He is the founder and managing partner of The VAM Group, Chief Product Officer of ThriveHub.AI, and Chief Growth Officer of Amplify Security.

Early life and family

Arredondo was born in San Diego, California, to Johnny Ray Arredondo and Consuelo Garcia. He is one of four siblings. On his mother’s side, he is the grandson of Armando Garcia, regarded as the first Mexican-American radio station owner in California.[1] He spent much of his youth moving through San Diego, San Jose, and Guadalupe, California.

At Mt. Pleasant High School in San Jose, Arredondo ran track and cross country; his results are archived on Athletic.net.[2] He later competed in cross country for De Anza College.

Military service

From 2004 to 2009, Arredondo served in the United States Marine Corps with the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He deployed multiple times overseas. The battalion later drew national coverage in The New York Times for having one of the highest veteran suicide rates in the U.S. military.[3][4]

Education and student leadership

After his service, Arredondo attended De Anza College, where he was president of the campus chapter of the Student Veterans of America. In a 2010 UWire article, he was quoted stating, “We are not pro war… We are pro veteran.”[5] He also served on the De Anza College Finance Committee in 2011.[6]

He transferred to Humboldt State University, where he served in student government and was recognized as a Sally Casanova Pre-Doctoral Scholar (2011–12).[7] He presented at the CSU SSRIC Student Research Conference in 2013,[8] and was noted in Humboldt’s newsroom coverage of the Real Food Challenge initiative.[9]

Arredondo later pursued research and graduate studies at UC Berkeley and UC Davis, focusing on data science, statistics, and business.

Career

Early and mid-career (2017–2020)

Arredondo held marketing leadership roles at FundLoans (a wholesale jumbo lender) and Home Bay Technologies/Home Bay Financial (2017–2019), where he oversaw digital acquisition campaigns. He later became Head of Digital & Growth at Blueday Real Estate (2020), which was connected to Home Bay’s eventual acquisition and consolidation by Clever Real Estate.[10][11]

Pacific Debt, Inc.

In 2020, Arredondo was appointed Marketing Director at Pacific Debt, Inc., a national debt settlement company headquartered in San Diego.

Agent Image (The Design People)

From 2021 to 2023, Arredondo served as Vice President of Growth and Digital at Agent Image, a real estate marketing firm.

Alleviate Tax

Since 2024, Arredondo has served as Chief Product Officer of Alleviate Tax, a California-based tax resolution company.

The VAM Group

Arredondo founded The VAM Group in 2018 as a performance marketing and growth operations agency. The firm has grown into a global organization of about 30 employees working remotely across ten countries.

VAM has served as Agency of Record for Symantec prior to its acquisition by Broadcom and the creation of NortonLifeLock.
