Andrew Begley is a former long distance runner for the University of Arkansas, and is currently head coach of Atlanta Track Club's elite team alongside wife and former Olympian Amy Yoder Begley.[1][2]

Running career[edit]

As an athlete, Begley qualified for the 2000 U.S. Olympic Trials, placing sixteenth with a time of 29:28.79.[3] While attending the University of Arkansas, he was part of nine NCAA championships and twelve SEC championships, earning All-America honors three times and winning the 5,000 meter indoor at the SEC indoor championships in 2000.[1] [2]

Coaching career[edit]

Prior to Atlanta Track Club, Begley was an assistant coach at the University of Connecticut, where he coached seven individuals to conference championships and two NCAA regional qualifiers. As a high school coach, he coached seven different runners to eighteen state championship titles in Indiana, Louisiana, and Oregon, qualifying three to the Footlocker National Cross Country Championships.[1]
