Andrey Elinson is an internationally recognized businessman and investor, noted for his expertise in private equity, strategic business development, and corporate management.[1] Throughout his career, Andrey Elinson has taken on key roles in top-tier Russian and international industrial conglomerates and investment firms.[2] Andrey Elinson was awarded Russia's state awards, including an order and a medal, for his contributions to organizing and executing the 2014 Winter Olympics and Paralympics in Sochi, Russia. Elinson currently oversees Inweasta as its founder and owner, a company with a global reach that operates in various international locations including Dubai, Turkey, Hong Kong, Paris, and Vienna.[3]
Early Life and Education
Born on January 10, 1979, in Moscow, Russia, Andrey Elinson graduated with honors from the Finance Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation, specializing in accountancy and audit.[4]
Career
Elinson began his career at Deloitte CIS in 1997, where he became one of the firm's youngest partners by 2005.[5] His tenure at Basic Element, one of Russia's largest industrial groups, saw him initially serve as the Director of Corporate Governance and Internal Control before advancing to Deputy CEO.[6][7] He supervised investments in various sectors, including aviation, real estate, and energy.
In December 2015, Elinson joined Alfa Group Consortium as Director of Assets Management at CTF Holdings.[8] He served at Alfa Group until March 2018. Later, he became the Managing Director and CEO of A1, a leading European private equity firm and litigation funder, where he focused on strategic business development and corporate management until October 2023.[9][10][11]
Inweasta
Post his tenure at A1, Elinson dedicated himself to his own investment business, Inweasta.[12][13][14] Founded in 2022, Inweasta operates globally with offices in Dubai, Paris, Hong Kong, Vienna, and Istanbul. The firm specializes in investment strategies, cross-border dispute resolution, litigation funding, and distressed asset management.[15] As the founder and CEO of Inweasta, Andrey Elinson oversees the company's global operations, with a commitment to offering reliable client services across multiple sectors.
State Awards for contributions to 2014 Winter Olympics
Elinson was instrumental in the construction of the Sochi Olympic Village and the renovation and modernization of the Sochi International Airport for the 2014 Winter Olympics and Paralympics.[16] His contributions earned him awards from the Russian Federation, including the Order of Friendship and the medal "For the Construction of Transport Facilities".[17][18][19][20]

Elinson has served on the boards of several notable companies, including X5 Retail Group, ABH Holdings S.A., AlfaStrakhovaniye Group, Alfa-Bank, and the Austrian construction company STRABAG SE.[21] He was a Member of the Supervisory Board of X5 Retail Group from 2016 to 2020.[4]

Elinson holds multiple certifications, including being a Certified Public Accountant (USA), a licensed Russian auditor, and holding a Certificate in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors (UK).[4] He is also active in public speaking and has authored articles on corporate governance and fraud prevention.[22]

Andrey Elinson is married with a daughter. He is fluent in English and Russian, with basic knowledge of French and German. Additionally, he is an enthusiast of triathlon.
