Andrew Allen "Andy" Cook was an American criminal who was found guilty of the 1995 murders of Michele Cartagena and her boyfriend Grant Hendrickson, two students at Mercer University.[2]
Murders
At around midnight on January 2, 1995, Cartagena (19) and Hendrickson (22) parked their car at a lovers' lane at Lake Juliette.[2] A 1980 Honda CR-X parked right in front of them and a man shot them with an assault rifle and a handgun. According to some witnesses, a CR-X sped off from the lake. The next day, some campers discovered the bodies of the couple. Police spent two years investigating.

Execution
Cook was executed by lethal injection at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification State Prison and pronounced dead at 11:23pm ET on February 21, 2013.[3]
