Aneesa Sharif is a British Pakistani model and cosmetologist.[1] Sharif has worked with brands like Krylon, MAC Cosmetics and Charlotte Tilbury.[2] She has modelled for fashion shows in Pakistan, United Kingdom and Dubai and is also known for being among the few British Pakistani models to be featured on Vogue.[2]
Early life and career[edit]
Sharif was born in London, United Kingdom to Pakistani parents.[3] She is a Muslim.[4] Sharif started her career as a freelance Makeup artist in London.[5] She has a degree in cosmetology.[5] Prior to entering the modelling industry, Sharif was a teacher of Media Makeup at Amersham and Wycombe College.[5]
She entered the modelling industry upon her return to Pakistan and regularly appeared at Fashion shows and television commercials in the country.[6] Sharif has appeared on the cover of Pakistani magazines like Daily Times, Paperazzi, Grazia Pakistan as well as internationally for Vogue.[1] Sharif has modelled for brands like Zainab Chottani.[4] In the United Kingdom, Sharif has been the face of ‘’’East Shopping Centre’’’ and has modelled for Dubai Fashion Week in London.[4]
Sharif owns the clothing brand Niya.[6] In 2016 she was awarded as Best Female Model of the Year at the Pakistan Music and Media Awards and 2019 at the Pakistan Achievement Awards. Sharif is currently in a relationship with English actor James Atkinson.[5]
