Anga is a geographical and cultural area of India. This area is located in the states of Bihar and Jharkhand. Angika is spoken in this area.[1] As Angika is considered to be a dialect of Maithili language,[2] this area is widely considered to be a subregion of Maithili speaking cultural region called Mithila.[2][3]
