Angel22 is a Latin girl group formed in London, UK, at The X-Factor, in 2019. In the past, during The X-Factor: Celebrity UK, first edition, the group was named as "V5", but in 2021, the new era came to stay. The Angel22 consists of a group with 4 girls, where each member is from a different country in Latin America. Currently, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico are being represented in the group.
History
2019: V5, The X-Factor and Past Members
In 2019, the group was formed to perform at The X-Factor: Celebrity UK, represented by Simon Cowell. Alondra from Dominican Republic & Puerto Rico, Laura from Colombia, Sofia from Brazil, Wendii from Cuba and Natalie Valerin from USA was the first formation of V5. But, before the live performances phase, Natalie left and was replaced by Renata Vaca from Mexico.
2020: Covid-19 Pandemic and TikTok
During the Covid-19 Pandemic, V5 acquired a legion of fans from TikTok and conquered hearts from all around the world with their covers, dances and content videos.
2021: Debut
In February of 2021, Renata left the group to become an actress, so, with 4 girls, the group needed a new name and new meaning. In July, the girls announced Angel22 as their newest identity. On 23 September, Angel22 released their first single "Free Hugs". Now, the Latin Girl Group keeps sharing feelings and beautiful songs with fans from so many different countries.
