Angel Bellaran She/Her (born 1984) is a third generation multiracial American curator, educator, historian and visual activist.
The foundation of Bellaran’s art practice is community, diversity and direct action. Bellaran identifies as an Anarcha-feminist, is the Co-creator of the radical collective Toppled Monuments Archive, and an organizational founder and curator of the global art and activism movement Nasty Women Exhibition.
Previously Bellaran served as director of operations of the MA Curatorial Practice program at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, and the director of galleries and graduate faculty at East Carolina University School of Art and Design in Greenville, North Carolina.
Currently, Bellaran holds a master's degree in Curatorial Studies from the MA in Visual Arts Practices (MAVis) programme at Dún Laoghaire Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology in Dublin, Ireland (Class of 2010), and a bachelor of fine arts degree from Mason Gross School of the Arts, the arts conservatory of Rutgers University (Class of 2008).
