Anil Bahuman is an Indian technology executive and entrepreneur. He was the founder and CEO of Agrocom Software Technologies, which developed information systems for agricultural applications. He has held executive positions at Jio Platforms and contributed to research projects at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
Career
Agrocom Software Technologies
Bahuman founded Agrocom Software Technologies in 2006, a company that was incubated at IIT Bombay's SINE program.[1] The company developed the aAQUA platform for agricultural information exchange.[2]
The aAQUA system was documented in academic literature as an ICT application for farmers, including coverage in the Journal of Global Communication[3] and reports by the Asia-Pacific Association of Agricultural Research Institutions (APAARI) and FAO.[4]
In 2008, Business Standard reported that Bahuman, as managing director of Agrocom, discussed the company's deployment of automated weather stations for grape disease forecasting at an industry event in Nashik.[5] Agrocom was selected as a finalist in Qualcomm's Wireless Reach program in 2006.[6]

Bahuman held positions at Reliance Jio, initially as Vice President for 4G Ecosystem Development. Industry publications listed him in this role at events such as a 2015 TiE Mumbai panel on net neutrality[7] and in a 2016 profile in WeSchool Samvad.[8]

Bahuman completed graduate studies in artificial intelligence at the University of Georgia, where his thesis focused on genetic algorithms for VLSI design automation.[10] His academic publications included work on automated circuit design using evolutionary computation methods.
He contributed to research projects at IIT Bombay's Developmental Informatics Lab, focusing on ICT applications for rural development.[11]
Bahuman served on program committees for the Human-In-the-Loop Data Analytics (HILDA) workshops from 2016-2019, which are held in conjunction with ACM SIGMOD conferences.[12][13][14]
Education
Bahuman earned a Bachelor of Technology degree from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka and a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Georgia.[15] He completed executive education at Harvard Business School.

Bahuman has self-published fiction under the series title A Throne in Exile and writes on technology topics through online publications. As of 2025, his fiction works have not received coverage in mainstream literary publications.
He has participated in entrepreneurship mentoring activities through TiE Mumbai and has given presentations at industry conferences on technology topics.[16]
