Anil Pallala[1][2] (born in 1982) is an Indian entrepreneur. He is the co-founder and CEO of Silly Monks.[3][4]
Before becoming CEO, he began his career as an Audio Engineer in 2000, working for many films and independent music artists as an audio recording and mixing engineer. In 2006, he joined 92.7 Big FM as a promo and music producer. In 2009, his entrepreneurial career started with two friends, forming Whacked Out Media.
Early life
Anil Pallala[5][6] was born in a Telugu-speaking family in a small town called Proddatur, Kadapa district. His mother, Uma Devi, was a housewife, and his father, Nagaraj Pallala, was a B.Tech mechanical engineer and an entrepreneur. The family was involved in stone polishing and cutting machine manufacturing, established by his grandfather, Gadde Anjaneyulu, known as Bharath Auto Works.
Education
He grew up in Proddatur until his schooling and earned his diploma in Audio Engineering from SAE (School of Audio Engineering), Chennai. After college, he moved to Hyderabad to pursue his career in the field of music recording and mixing. He worked in many independent recording studios and in 2006 joined 92.7 Big FM as a promo/music producer until 2009.
Business career
He founded Whacked Out Media Pvt Ltd in 2009 along with his friends Saurabh Sharma and Sameer Choudhary, leading the company as director and COO for four and a half years.
He founded Silly Monks Entertainment Limited[7] in 2013 along with Mr. Sanjay Reddy, leading as a Director and CEO since the company’s inception. Silly Monks Entertainment Limited was listed on the NSE in 2018.
Personal life
He is married to Sridevi Karyampudi, a Physiotherapist and a Radio Jockey from Visakhapatnam. They met as colleagues at 92.7 Big FM radio station. The couple has two children.
