Work[edit]
In her artistic work, Anina Diener shows an affinity for creating an interpretation of the opulent, the staged and the historical.
Since her time as costume assistant on La reine Margot by Patrice Chéreau, she developed her idea of authentic yet interpretative historical production and costume Design. Highlights of her work in historical film were the set design for "Misses Stinnes Travels Around The World" and the costume design for Michael Kohlhaas directed by Arnaud des Pallières. For the latter film, Anina Diener reinterpreted medieval costumes with a modern approach.
Anina Diener lives in Berlin and Greece.
In 2020, Anina Diener founded "Garden of Ios", a garden cafe with sunset bar on the island of Ios in Greece.
In 2022 Anina Diener founded the small film festival Cinephiliaon Ios together with the documentary filmmaker Evelyne Ragot. Greek and international films of the last years are shown.
