Anindya Chatterjee is an independent filmmaker from Kolkata, India. He started his film career making critically acclaimed short films and tele films. His telefilm for TaraTV ‘Sudhamoy Babur Advut Galpo’ starred veteran actor and thespian Manoj Mitra. His iPhone short film Labourers was an official selection of Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF).
Anindya’s first feature film[1] Jhumura (starring Samadarshi Dutta, Sohini Sarkar, Sabitri Chatterjee) was released in theatres in 2015.[2] It was an official selection of the Bengali Panorama section of Kolkata International Film Festival, 2014.
Anindya’s second feature La Patrie- Homeland[3] (starring Parambrata Chatterjee, Ani Hovhannisyan, Jonathan Dumontier) was streamed on Netflix last year. This multilingual film was an official selection of the Cinema International section of Kolkata International Film Festival, 2018. La Patrie- Homeland[4] has received Special Festival Mention Award in Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival, 2019 and has received Honorary Jury Award in Indian World Film Festival, Hyderabad’2020.
