Aniruddha Bhattacharya

Aniruddha Bhattacharya is a professional playback vocalist in the Telugu film industry.[1] He hails from Kolkata, West Bengal. He started singing at the age of 5 and underwent training in Indian Classical Music under several stalwarts the most recent being Pt. Falguni Mitra of Bettiah Benaras Gharana. He has acquired many styles of singing including the steadiness and open voiced recitals required in Dhrupad and Dhamar. As he progressed through his teens and matured as a singer he took up commercial singing guided by Mr. Prabir Karmakar and Mr. Buddhadeb Ganguly (stalwart music composer and guitarist). He also underwent training in Indian Classical and semi classical music under Pt. Jayanta Sarkar, Rabindra Sangeet under Pt. Agnibho Banerjee and Mr Anutosh Chatterjee. Taking his inclination towards instruments to the next level he pursued learning Table under the legendary Tabla Guru Pt. Sujit Saha and Guitar under the immensely respected Mr. Amyt Datta.

Performances[edit]

Aniruddha Bhattacharya is a regular stage performer in the commercial music circuit in Kolkata and is an integral part of Team Anjali Orchestra headed by veteran percussionist Shri Tarun Guha. He started regularly performing on stage at the age of 18 with Anjali Orchestra headed by Mr. Tarun Guha and starring his immensely talented Percussionist Son Sayan Guha. Aniruddha has done innumerable shows for Anjali Orchestra all year round for several years from 2007 to 2009. Apart from Anjali he was also associated with SPARC (Society of Performing Arts and Culture). He was also part of several group musical acts like Eclipse, school band that went on to win Muzik Kazam competition organised by Voices Statesman in 2000 - Vibes 2K. He has also performed in Bangalore, Hyderabad and recently started performing in Mumbai as well.

Music releases[edit]

[2] In year 2011 2 songs for Telugu movie Paravasamai - Nee Premalo under Production Banner Nandalal Creations were released that featured his voice.[3] Again in the same year 2011 he was signed up for a song in Mr. Mahit Gilla's Album - A Flavour of Love, released in December 2011.[4] The song - Needani Lede Hrudayam with is catchy bouncy track was appreciated all throughout Andhra Pradesh.[5] Following that he worked with upcoming music composer Mr . Hari Gowra by singing a duet number Pyaari Panchhi K eAasu Se Poocho for his Album titled - Campaign against child labour.

Current work[edit]

Aniruddha is currently working with eminent music directors in hyderabad. He is currently residing in Mumbai, working as an IT professional and pursuing his music through various projects.

Aniruddha is a B Tech Graduate from Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology and has 6 years of work experience in SAP as a programmer.
