Anna Styszyńska

Anna Styszyńska (born 15 April 1954 in Jarocin) is a Polish climatologist, geographer, Earth scientist, and associate professor at Gdynia Maritime University and Gdańsk University of Technology.[1][2][3]

Life[edit]

Styszyńska studied geography at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. In 1977, she was employed at the Navigation Department of the Gdynia Maritime University. She worked as a scientific and technical employee, in 1980 became a senior assistant, and later an assistant professor.

Since 2007, she has been an associate professor at Gdynia Maritime University. In 2007, she was appointed head of the Department of Meteorology and Nautical Oceanography and a member of the Faculty Council. In 2008, she was a member of the Senate of the university. In the 1980s and 1990s, she also taught at the Administrative Department of the Maritime University in Gdynia.[4]

In 2006, she graduated with the work, Przyczyny i mechanizmy współczesnego (1982-2002) ocieplenia atlantyckiej Arktyki, from the University of Poznań.[5]
