Anne De Zogheb (2 October 1942 – 29 March 2017),[1] Egyptian-born British model was gracing covers of fashion magazines in the US and France in the late 50's and early 60's.

Biography

Anne De Zogheb was born in Alexandria, Egypt, her father Charles De Zogheb was a famous Syrian-Lebanese diplomat who was a member of Alexandria's illustrious Levantine de Zogheb clan.[2] At the same time, her mother was a British housewife. She is of English, Dutch, and Greek descent from her mother, while of Syrian and Lebanese descent from her father.[3]

Personal life

In 1962, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where she was a fashion model on assignment and under contract to the Eileen Ford Agency, she met Paul Anka. The couple then married.[4] They had 5 children together, and she stopped modeling after her second child. The couple then divorced in 2000.
