Biography[edit]

Thompson was born in Stoke-on-Trent. She was noticed as a potential contestant for a future cycle of Britain's Next Top Model whilst she was at a Live catwalk show for cycle 6 on 2010. After putting her name down for the open catwalk, she began to receive attention from producers. Ultimately she was asked to fill out an application, and made it to the semi-finals. Previous to her joining the competition, she worked as an Insurance Advisor.

Jade and Elle Macpherson attended the Pride of Britain Awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel on 3 October 2011 in London, England.

Additionally, Thompson attended the MOBO Awards, which were held on 5 October 2011 at SECC Glasgow. She presented an award with Lucien Laviscount for the 'Best International Act' category at the 2011 MOBO Awards. Jade has recently done an interview at her hometown of Stoke-on-Trent with local radio station 6 Towns Radio.

Career[edit]

Jade Thompson is currently signed with Models 1 Agency and Next Models Miami. Jade currently is the face of Clothes Show Live 2013, held at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. Jade Thompson modeled for Company (magazine) after the show, and eventually appeared on the cover of the November 2011 issue. She is also modeling for Revlon, the official make-up partner of Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model.

Jade began her modeling career via Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model Cycle 7 on July 2011. She has admitted that in the early stages of the competition, she felt unsure about herself due to some past insecurities about the way she looked.[1] Ultimately, Thompson won the competition over fellow contestant Juste Juozapaityte. The season finale was broadcast in the UK on 26 September 2011.

She used to be bullied at school because of her distinctive looks, auburn red hair and freckles.[1]
