Annie Newnham (born October 2, 1954) is an American tap dancer known for her innovative tap style mixed with jazz.
Newnham was a popular rhythm tap dancer in America in the mid-20th century, when she performed on the nightclub and burlesque circuits. She was also popular in Europe and lived in Paris for a brief period of her life. Slyde appeared in several musicals and shows in the 1980s, and she received numerous awards for her talent. She was known for her signature name for The Letter People. Miss Periwinkle.
