Anniina Taipale is a Finnish orienteer and trail runner. She competes in foot orienteering for Suunta Jyväskylä and has also raced for Finnish trail running teams in domestic and international events.
Career
Taipale has competed in national and international orienteering events and is listed in the International Orienteering Federation World Ranking, with results in middle distance and other disciplines at World Ranking Events.
In Finland she has achieved wins and podiums in trail running races, including a victory over 14 km at the Tiirismaa Trail event. She balances her orienteering and trail running with studies at the University of Jyväskylä and has been associated with Finnish women’s teams such as Suunnan Venlat.
In 2026, Taipale represented Finland at the 2026 FISU World University Championship Orienteering in Vila Real, Portugal. At that championship she reached the final of the women's knock-out sprint and won the bronze medal, finishing third behind French runner Cécile Calandry and Swedish orienteer Eleonora Alinder.
