Annova Systems was an independent German software company in Munich, now part of a British conglomerate software company.

Its broadcast software product OpenMedia is the software used by BBC News since 2015.

History

The company made software for the broadcasting industry.

The company was bought in April 2015.[1]

OpenMedia

Its product OpenMedia replaced ENPS as the computer system of BBC News in 2015, with implementation from September 2017.[2]

On 10 October 2018, a fault with the OpenMedia software disrupted the broadcast of the main national evening news.[3]

Other national European broadcasters use the OpenMedia software.[4]
