Annova Systems was an independent German software company in Munich, now part of a British conglomerate software company.

Its broadcast software product OpenMedia is the software run by BBC News since 2015.

History[edit]

The company makes software for the broadcasting industry.

The company was bought in April 2015.[1]

OpenMedia[edit]

Its product OpenMedia replaced ENPS as the computer system of BBC News in 2015, with implementation from September 2017.[2]

On 10 October 2018, a fault with the OpenMedia software disrupted the broadcast of the main national evening news.[3]

Other national European broadcasters have the OpenMedia software.[4]
