The company was founded in 2014 by Tobias Buxhoidt, Julian Krenge and Anton Eder and has offices in Munich, London[6] and Boston. As of 2022, it employs 199 staff worldwide.[7]
In May 2021, parcelLab received a $112 million Series C investment led by New York-based Insight Partners with participation from Endeit Capital, Capnamic Ventures and Coparion.[8][9][10]
Technology[edit]
The parcelLab solution enables online retailers to communicate with customers throughout operational processes, like warehousing, delivery, and returns.[2][11][12]
As of 2022, parcelLab monitors more than three million shipments each day for customers in 153 countries. parcelLab is partnered with 150 carriers worldwide including FedEx, DHL, DPD.[13][14]

In 2020 and 2021, parcelLab was identified as a Top 50 Retail Start-up in the RWRC Discovery 50 Report.[15] Also in 2020 and 2021, parcelLab was featured by CB Insights in its Retail Tech 100 ranking, which identified the ‘100 most promising B2B retail tech companies in the world.’[16][17]
In 2021, parcelLab was named by the Financial Times as one of Europe's Fastest Growing Companies in the FT1000.[18] The company ranked in Sifted's ‘German Tech Start-ups to Watch in 2022’ list.[19]
In March 2022, parcelLab was named by Forbes in a list of ‘America’s Best Start-up Employers’.[20][21]
