Anoop Sagar is an Indian actor who has done Tulu language films. He is popularly known for his lead role in the first international Tulu Movie Nirel,[1] directed by Ranjith Bajpe and jointly produced by Shodhan Prasad and San Poojary. He went on to work in another Tulu blockbuster Dhand.[2] in a negative character and has received great reviews. An enthusiast and a lover of dance, he was also a part of the famous entertainment troupe called Ocean Kids Dance Company.
Early life
Anoop was born on 6 December 1982 at Sagar Shimoga, and later moved to Mangalore with his family. He has completed a Travel & Tourism diploma at Globe College of Travel & Tourism in Mangalore. Being part of a famous dance troupe, he has performed in various events around the globe, and this also led him to choreograph for various Bollywood and Sandalwood movie celebrities and Arabic artists.
Career
After completion of his studies in Mangalore, he was working in Mumbai as a Travel consultant for 2 years. Later he moved to Dubai in search of better opportunities.[3] As he was working in Dubai, always dreaming of being an actor, he attended an audition for Nirel, which was held at Fortune Grand Hotel Dubai,[4] and got selected to play the lead role. As shooting was done only during weekends,[5] Nirel took one year to complete. Upon the release of Nirel, his acting skills were well appreciated.[6] Because of his lover boy image, he gained many fans around the globe. Later, he signed for Dhand as a negative character[7] as he wanted to experiment with roles. Anoop played the role of Karthik, a drug addict in Dhand and his acting and action skills were much appreciated.[8] He has also choreographed dance sequences in both movies.
