Ant Media Server[2] is a real-time video streaming software provided by Ant Media, Inc. It provides scalable, Ultra-Low Latency (WebRTC) and Low Latency (DASH/CMAF[3] & HLS ) video streaming solutions. The most important feature of Ant Media Server [4] is that it offers scalable WebRTC live streaming with ultra-low latency (0.5 seconds)
There are two versions of Ant Media Server, Community and Enterprise Edition. In the community edition, broadcasting can be made with WebRTC and it can be watched with HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) and RTMP (Real Time Messaging Protocol). Ant Media Server Enterprise Edition offers Ultra-low latency live broadcast with WebRTC technology. It includes features like other media servers such as
- Ingest Video/Audio via SRT, WebRTC, RTMP, Zixi, RTSP
- Egress Video/Audio via WebRTC, HLS, LL-DASH (CMAF)
- Restream Video/Audio via RTMP
- Codecs: H.264, H.265, VP8
