Anthony Nigro (born January 11, 1990) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He is currently playing for the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL. Nigro was selected by the St. Louis Blues in the 6th round (155th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

Playing career[edit]

Prior to turning professional, Nigro played major junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League. On May 14, 2010, the St. Louis Blues signed Nigro to a three-year entry-level contract.[1] In his next two seasons he was assigned to American Hockey League affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.

After suffering an injury with the Rivermen in a pre-season contest for the 2012–13 season, Nigro was re-assigned to ECHL affiliate, the Evansville IceMen, in order to regain fitness.[2]

At the conclusion of his contract with the Blues, Nigro was rendered a free agent and on August 26, 2013, signed a one-year contract with the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL.[3]
