Anthony Tesoro (born September 14, 1977) is an American business executive and Christian minister. He is the founder, Chairman, and CEO of the Tesoro Ministry Foundation; a 501(c)3 non-profit charity/ministry organization. He is also the co-founder, with his wife Ashley Tesoro, of Tesoro Entertainment; a multimedia production company, and Tesoro Records; an independent music label. He has produced both film and television, and has executive produced several music albums for his wife Ashley Tesoro.[1]

Stock market[edit]

By age 19 Tesoro was working for Paine Webber on the Pacific Coast Stock Exchange(PCOAST).[1] Prior to this at age 18 he was working out of his home office as a day trader investing in IPO's. After leaving the PCOAST Tesoro went to work for his father's institutional stock brokerage firm Jones Trading.[1] After several years there he exited the business sector and founded the 501(c)3 non-profit organization the Tesoro Ministry Foundation. For the last 11 years he has worked full-time in the Christian Ministry and runs the Tesoro Ministry Foundation with his wife Ashley Tesoro.

Ministry[edit]

Tesoro is an ordained Christian minister. He has been in the ministry for eleven years. He and his wife Ashley Tesoro run the Tesoro Ministry Foundation and speak at Churches and Bible studies around the United States.[1]

Entertainment[edit]

He is also the co-founder, with his wife Ashley Tesoro, of Tesoro Entertainment; a multimedia production company, and Tesoro Records; an independent music label. In 2001 he executive-produced the award winning short-film "Father." In 2007 he was the executive producer of Ashley Tesoro's self-titled country music debut album.[1] In 2010 he was the executive producer of Ashley Tesoro's Country Gospel album titled "Oh You Angel." In 2012 he was the executive producer of Ashley Tesoro's Gospel album titled "Simply Worship." Anthony is the host and executive producer of Life is for Living TV a Christian ministry and life-style show along with his wife Ashley Tesoro.

Martial arts[edit]

Tesoro is a lifelong martial artist who started training at 5 years old under his father a karate black belt and instructor. In 1991 at age 13 he earned a Tangsoodo black belt[3] under Tom Bloom, and he became a karate instructor and grappling instructor at age 18 at the Tom Bloom Karate & Fitness Center. During his teenage years he was a competitive karate fighter and karate instructor. He has also trained in kickboxing, Muay Thai, and grappling arts such as; freestyle wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and submission grappling. Tesoro started grappling at age 11 in USA Wrestling and continued throughout his school years in freestyle wrestling and folkstyle wrestling; and he is a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. In 2011 he was promoted to 6th degree black belt in karate by 9th degree black belt grandmaster Tom Bloom.[2]

Early life[edit]

Tesoro was born in Beverly Hills, California and was raised in Westlake Village, California.[1] He is the second oldest of five, with three brothers and one sister. He attended Westlake High School where he played football and was on the varsity wrestling team. He began martial arts training at 5 years old and is a karate black belt under Tom Bloom.[3]

Marriage[edit]

On September 30, 2001 Tesoro married Ashley Cafagna who was a film and television actress at the time. They are both in the Christian ministry and together run the Tesoro Ministry Foundation.[1] Their daughter, Gabriella Lyn, was born on November 18, 2013.[4]

Family[edit]

Tesoro comes from a prominent Southern California family the Tesoro family. His father Anthony, Sr. is a Stock Market mogul and real-estate investor. His entire family is involved in charitable giving and community outreach.[1]

Religion[edit]

Tesoro was raised Roman Catholic. He is a non-denominational Christian minister.

School[edit]

Tesoro is a graduate of the University of Phoenix[1] with degrees in Criminal Justice and Business. He graduated "with Honors" and was inducted into the National Criminal Justice Honor Society Alpha Phi Sigma.
