George Janko, born in Chicago, Illinois on January 3, 1993, is an American YouTuber, recording artist, actor, and social media personality.[1] He rose to fame through Vine and later expanded his influence through YouTube, comedy, and music.[2] Janko is also known for his podcast, The George Janko Show, which focuses on themes of faith and positivity.[3][4]

Early life and education

George Janko was born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Arizona. He has Syrian ancestry and has a sister named Sara. His mother, Caroline, has made appearances in several of his videos. Janko pursued his education at the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences.[5]

Career

Janko started his social media career on Vine in late 2014, where he garnered a following of over 500,000 users. Throughout his journey, he collaborated with figures in the Vine community, including Logan Paul, Jake Paul, Matthew Espinosa, the Dolan Twins, Anwar Jibawi, and Amanda Cerny.

Impaulsive

George Janko was a co-host on Logan Paul's podcast, Impaulsive.[6] Their fallout was primarily due to tensions surrounding religious beliefs, financial disagreements, and personal dynamics. These issues ultimately led to Janko's decision to leave the podcast in 2023.[7][8][9]

The George Janko Show

In 2023, George Janko launched The George Janko Show, a podcast and YouTube series that signified his return following his departure from the Impaulsive podcast. The show features in-depth interviews with influencers, athletes, entertainers, and thought leaders, seamlessly blending humor, faith, and honest conversation. Known for its clean-toned approach, The George Janko Show distinguishes itself from many other creator-led podcasts by prioritizing moral values, family, and personal growth.

Janko's remarkable ability to connect with guests on a personal level has accelerated the show's growth, attracting notable figures such as Mike Majlak, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Jeff Dye, and other key personalities from the social media and entertainment spheres. Additionally, the podcast is recognized for occasionally exploring Janko's Christian beliefs, thereby providing a platform for faith-centered discussions within popular culture.

In February 2025, Jeff Dye spoke out about the mistreatment that occurs in Hollywood on The George Janko Show, criticizing Sarah Hyland.[10][11]

Political Involvement

In October 2024, George Janko participated in Turning Point USA's "You're Being Brainwashed Tour," a campus outreach initiative led by conservative commentator Charlie Kirk. The tour aimed to engage college students in political discussions, focusing on environmental issues, LGBTQ+ rights, and religious perspectives. At Arizona State University, Janko joined Kirk and social media influencer Bryce Hall to host a "Prove Me Wrong" event outside the Memorial Union, where they encouraged debates on whether college students are being "brainwashed" by prevailing campus ideologies.

Janko's involvement in the tour highlighted his commitment to fostering open dialogue among young voters. This participation was part of a broader effort by Turning Point USA to increase political engagement among Generation Z, particularly in the lead-up to the 2024 U.S. presidential election. The tour, which visited multiple university campuses, was noted for its interactive format and the inclusion of public figures to attract and engage students in political conversations.[12]

George Janko spoke at Turning Point Action's "Believer Summit" alongside Donald Trump, Dr. Ben Carson, and Frank Turek on July 26, 2024.[13]

Personal Life

George Janko is a practicing Christian and often discusses his faith publicly. He is in a relationship with Canadian actress and social media influencer Shawna Della-Ricca.[14]
