Antje Douvern or Antje Jasch (born 2 November 1965) is a West German former long track speed skater and inline speed skater. She was part of the national team and represented her country at international competitions. She won a bronze medal at the 1980 European Championships.[2] She is a junior speed skating trainer in Inzell.[3] In 2020 she became head hygiene officer of the German National Speed Skating Association during the COVID-19 pandemic in Germany.[4]
Career
Inline speed skating
She won the bronze medal at the 1980 European Championships in the 5000 metres relay event.[5] Douvern won two silver medals at the 1992 national championships.[6]
Speed skating
Douvern was active between 1978 and 1988. As a junior she became twice national champion.[7][8] At elite level she represented her nation at international competitions. As a junior she participated at the 1983 World Junior Speed Skating Championships. She made her ISU Speed Skating World Cup debut during the 1985–86 ISU Speed Skating World Cup in January 1986 in Inzell in three distances. She also competed at other international top events, including at International 3-track tournaments.[9] At the German Allround Championships she finished fourth in 1985, 1987 and 1988.[9]
Further career
After her career she became a sports teacher in Bad Endorf. She works for the German national speed skating association Deutsche Eisschnelllauf- und Shorttrack-Gemeinschaft (DESG). She is a junior speed skating trainer in Inzell.[3] In 2020 she became the DESG's hygiene officer during the COVID-19 pandemic in Germany.[7][4]
Personal
Being engaged in 1992, she married speed skater Helge Jasch in 1993.[10]
