Antonio Lievano (born 16 May 1995) in Maryland is a Colombian American comedian. Lievano is best known for his YouTube username SoFloAntonio. His videos have over 100 million views and over 500,000 subscribers. He also runs several other YouTube channels including "MW3Stream", "SoFloComedy" & "SoFloAntonioVlogs".
Early Life
Lievano was born in Maryland, United States. He then spent time in Bogota, Colombia and at the age of 5 his family moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
YouTube Career
Kissing Pranks
In November, Lievano approached groups of women and showed them a card trick. He then pretended to mess up the card trick and said that if he picked up the participant’s card, he would get a kiss from them. If not, he would give them money. Many girls took part in the videos and it was very successful, getting tens of thousands of views in its first week. The video currently has 367,935 views as of July 2014 and still gains thousands more every day.[1]
Later in the year, Lievano made another kissing prank involving dropping a $100 note. The participant had a shot at winning $100 with one try or $20 with three tries. If they failed, girls would have to kiss him and guys would get slapped on the face. One person was successful and received $100. As of July 2014 the video has 539,339 views.[2]
Breakaway Bottle Fight Prank
In December 2011, Lievano launched a video where he staged a fight that included props such as breakaway bottles, to make the fight more realistic. Josh Goldman was featured in this video as he is a working partner on Lievano's YouTube channel "SoFloAntonio". In this video, Josh acts as a guy who gets mad and smashes a bottle on Antonio's head for stealing his girlfriend. Two female actresses both acted as if they did not know Josh and were Antonio's girlfriend. Later in the video the police show up and leave them with a warning.[3]
Slap, Hug or Kiss Prank
In May 2014, Lievano posted a video titled "Slap, Hug or Kiss!" which went viral with 2,428,067 views to date (July 2014). It was featured on 9GAG.[4]
Drugging Girls In Public
Lievano's video "Drugging Girls In Public" was featured on WorldStar Hip Hop and resulted in Lievano being stomped on and attacked by members of the public who ended up subscribing to his YouTube channel after the incident was explained.[5]
Education
Lievano currently attends the University of Maryland and is part of the Honors College. He was admitted into the University Honors Program.
