Antsamedia is an internet service provider founded by Anton Ehrola, a 14-year-old Finnish freelancer and software developer. Antsamedia was founded in 2015 and was called a real company or organization. In 2020, however, the use of this statement was discontinued.
Antsamedia is a service provider that provides, among other things, learning materials, learning environments, wiki projects, encyclopedias, code programs, enterprise software, website design, code language construction, and computer support.
One of Antsamedia’s best-known software is Antsamedia Code, which provides web-based code programs. It's free and anyone can program anything with it.
Antsamedia was founded in 2015 by Anton Ehrola in his hometown of Espoo. It was called the company for five years. In 2020, it became clear that it is not right to call Antsamedia a real company. So now it’s just called an internet service provider.
In the early days, Antsamedia offered numerous other services in addition to software development: support and advice on issues such as babies, raising young people, and choosing cars. Initially, Antsamedia was to act as an educational company for schools and colleges, providing them with publishing services and website design. Later, Antsamedia began designing software, and began providing its customers with websites, computer support, and services, including graphic design.
In 2015, Antsamedia hired more than 1,000 volunteers from Finland within three months. Antsamedia was founded in August 2015, and as early as December 2015, Antsamedia had regional offices in Åland, Denmark, Iceland, Germany, the Netherlands, the Americas, China, India, Sudan and France. Antsamedia Netherlands grew the most, employing 50,000 people by 2020. Antsamedia The Netherlands also developed the super-popular data project Antsadata, which promotes and helps Antsawiki editors. Antsadata was successful, and in the Netherlands, Internet censorship grew with the help of Antsamedia.
In Finland, Antsamedia had 28,997 employees in the first half of 2020.
The goal of Antsamedia is to open free and free information to everyone, and it can be freely distributed and modified by anyone. This motto of Antsamedia has been Antsamedia’s biggest challenge.
Antsamedia's current and only head office is located in Espoo, with CEO Anton Ehrola. Prior to that, Antsamedia had more than 30 branches in Finland, 144 Finnish regional companies such as Salo, Helsinki, Kajaani, Turku and Kemi.
