Anuroop B. S. (Malayalam: അനുറൂപ് ബീ എസ്; born 15 April 1990) is a Squash (sport) coach and player from India. He has won many local squash championships. Currently, he is holding ranking in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.[1]
Personal life[edit]
Anuroop B. S. was born on 15 April 1990 in Kozhikode, Kerala, India to Major Balakrishnan T. K., a retired Indian Army Officer and Sobha Balakrishnan, a housewife. As a son of an Army Officer, he did his schooling in Army schools in various states. He has done a degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from St. Mary's College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad.
Career[edit]
Anuroop has never taken any formal training for Squash. He has participated in many local tournaments and has also won many club squash championships:
- Won RSI Annual Squash Championship 2013
- Won Secunderabad Club Squash Championship 2012 Singles Open
- Won Secunderabad Club Squash Championship 2012 Men's Open
- Runners up Secunderabad Club squash doubles championship 2012
- Won Secunderabad Club Squash Championship 2013
- Won Secunderabad Club squash doubles championship 2013
Anuroop has also participated in many Fashion Shows. He was one of the model who walked the ramp during Hyderabad Fashion Week Sring Fall Collection 2013 in the Novotel, Hyderabad when actress Zarine Khan, actress Nandhini Rai walked the ramp on 31 July 2013. He walked the Hyderabad fashion week ramp for Designer Debarun Mukherjee and choreographer Joseph Sunder.
Apart from all these, he has taken part in All India Air Pistol Shooting Championship.
Anuroop has been coaching since a few years.[2] He evangelizes and motivates young players throughout India to get into this sport.
