Anwar Shereef (born 04 May 1982) is an Indian film actor who acts predominantly in Malayalam films, known for Salalah Mobiles, Forensic and Luca.[1] He was also known for Malayalam musical albums in the early days of his career.
Personal Life
Anwar Shereef was born on 04 May 1982 at Puvathoor, Thrissur, Kerala. He completed his graduation from Calicut University in 2002. He is settled in Ernakulam district, Kerala.
Career
Anwar started his career with album songs and ad films; he did about 60 ad films and 150 Malayalam musical albums.[2]
In 2014, he acted in the film Salalah Mobiles, portraying a notable character named Manaf. Dulquer Salmaan and Nazriya Nazim were in the lead roles. The actor also had brief roles in other films in the following years.[3] He had a supporting role in the Malayalam movie 'Ben', released in November 2015. Child actor Gaurav Menon won the national award for his role in the film.[4]
Anwar portrayed an obstinate police man in Luca, a 2019 Malayalam film directed by Arun Bose starring Tovino Thomas and Ahaana Krishna. He appeared in another police character in Forensic[5] the following year.[6][7]
