Apologize (Kacey Musgraves song)
This is why I’ve cut back offering edits to Wiki. Spotify is the largest music store in the world. Record label is a reliable reference. Marie Claire is reference to independent notability and critical accolades. Please see Artist Discography for other supposed Billboard cites as there are no actual Billboard website links, just third party no notability, yet those pages are published. Editors should make sure criteria are uniform. Or should we remove all other alleged Billboard cites for this Artist in Wiki?

"Apologize" is an acoustic recording by American country music artist Kacey Musgraves that was the first single from her indie label EP Apologize / See You Again. It was released digitally on April 9, 2013, through Austin Texas based independent label Triple Pop.[1][2][3]The song was written by Ryan Tedder of the band OneRepublic and produced by Musgraves with Monte Robison. The acoustic cover recording become Musgraves #1 song on Spotify from 2016–2018. It was certified Gold in Europe with over thirty-seven million (37M) streams to date.
Production[edit]
After high school and before moving to Nashville, Kacey Musgraves lived for a year in Austin, Texas. While living in Austin, a producer discovered Musgraves singing at local bars and invited her to record a couple acoustic cover songs before working on an original album together.[4][5] Though an original album never come to fruition, the acoustic recordings remained with Triple Pop before she later signed with UMG Nashville.
Musgraves' two acoustic recordings for Triple Pop (covers of OneRepublic's "Apologize" and Miley Cyrus' "See You Again") are available on a digital EP "Apologize / See You Again" released in early 2013. “Apologize” (Acoustic Version) later became an unexpected digital hit and charted in the Billboard Hot Singles Chart at #23 on February 15, 2014, and racked up over 31,000,000 streams on Spotify.[6]
