Armin Halitović

Armin Halitović (born 1970) is a politician from Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is currently the Mayor of Bosanska Krupa.
Born in Bosanska Krupa, he obtained a degree from University of Sarajevo Economics school where he graduated in 1999 after having to suspend his education to fight in the Bosnian War for the Patriotic League, which was succeeded by the Territorial Defence Force of the Republic of Bosnia and Hercegovina and then the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.[1][2]
In Bosanska Krupa he succeeded Hamdija Grošić in the mayoral post. Halitović ran as an independent, but had the support of the Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Halitović was elected by 53.03% of the votes during the 2008 local elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina compared to 39.51% for the incumbent, Hamdija Grošić of the Party of Democratic Action.
