Arne Wik Kristiansen

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Arne Wik Kristiansen (born 26 April 1931 in Bergen) is a Norwegian scientist residing in Langhus outside Oslo.

Kristiansen holds a BA in French, Sociology, and History. Kristiansen states that epistemology was his pathway to science. This was a theme in which his philosophy teachers showed no interest. Inconsistencies, such as the dual nature of light, and paradoxes attributed to physics itself, not to its description, piqued his interest in physics, which, he says, can be viewed as the interaction between the forces inherent in matter, not merely a sum of phenomena.

Kristiansen worked as a teacher and a civil servant before his early retirement due to worsening migraine, which prevented all intellectual activity. Incidentally, he overheard Dr. Kalle Reichelt mention the connection between impaired mental activity and food derived from grain. This prompted Kristiansen to abstain from such foods. To his surprise, the migraine disappeared within six months.

Several years were spent researching the involved metabolic and physiological mechanisms. The result was "Peptider i blodet" (Peptides in the blood) in 1998, which describes the biophysical connections between these mechanisms and a series of illnesses with no known cause.

In 1990, Kristiansen applied for a Norwegian patent for the hydrodynamic propulsion of ships, i.e., exploiting the same effect as that occurring on the upper surface of an aeroplane wing. The application was rejected in 2008. Derived patent applications were accepted in over a dozen other countries. Kristiansen has also investigated the physics of e.g., gravity, light, and climate, cf. the homepage Gravity, Light and Climate. Common physical functions. Kristiansen emphasizes the importance of identifying the functions between physical variables, rather than simply focusing on appearances or phenomena.
