Arthur Maw was a professional footballer who most notably played for Leicester City F.C. He was the top goal scorer for Leicester City in the old division 1 in the 1932-33 and 1935-36 season, scoring 14 and 18 goals respectively. Signed by Peter Hodge in 1933, his Leicester career spanned over 6 years scoring 64 goals in 189. Making his debut against Midlands rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers in July of 1933 he went 4 games without a goal scoring a hat trick against Aston Villa at home in the old division 1.
He was nicknamed Radcock because of the local folklore of a young fan called Rhys Adcock who once scored 13 goals in one game in a friendly for Leicester.
