Arya Borse (born 2 December 2002) is an Indian sport shooter who competes in the 10 m air rifle discipline.[1]
Early life
Arya Borse was born on 2 December 2002 in Nashik. Her mother, Madhavi, is an English teacher, while her father previously worked in a bank. She developed an interest in sports during her school years and was enrolled in a pistol shooting club at Ashoka Universal School under coach Abhay Kamble, before switching to rifle shooting.[2]
Career
National competitions
At the 2025 National Games in Dehradun, Borse won two silver medals: one in the women's 10 metre air rifle individual event and another in the mixed team event with Rudrankksh Patil.[2]
International competitions
At the ISSF Junior World Cup in Suhl in 2022, Borse was part of the Indian women's air rifle team that won the gold medal.[3]
She later competed at senior level. At the ISSF World Cup in Munich in June 2025, she partnered Arjun Babuta in the 10 metre air rifle mixed team event to win the gold medal, defeating the reigning Olympic champions from China.[4] She also won silver medals in the same discipline at the ISSF World Cups in Lima and Buenos Aires.[5][6]
